The Ambassador Bridge

The Ambassador Bridge joins the cities of Detroit, Michigan, and Windsor, Ontario, by an international suspension bridge. By the early twentieth century, Detroit had grown into a significant metropolis, but people and products could only cross the border by water. The construction of a train tunnel beneath the Detroit River between the United States and Canada made transportation between the two countries easier, but it did not totally eliminate issues.
